Urban Human Erosion
Ciudad de México, CDMX 06700, Mexico
Hashtag Gallery presented Urban Human Erosion — a solo exhibition by Borna Libertines. Eight collage graffiti paintings created in Mexico City from 2021 to 2024, each built from street posters collected from the walls of the capital.
Urban erosion is a natural phenomenon where materials in urban areas are gradually removed or dissolved by rain, wind, and sun. Instead of viewing erosion as decay or loss, Borna uses the eroded material as a palette to create art that tells a story about a place and its history. This exhibition invited viewers to confront their own memories and experiences, just as erosion exposes hidden layers.
